Where and how long?
Barbara started temping at various advertising agencies during years at college and landed a job as receptionist at Harrison Cowley Advertising, then PA to Jim Faulds more or less for the next 20 years (he left me twice in that time). After an extended holiday around the world Barbara worked at Strutt & Parker commercial division for a year. After an enforced ‘career break’ of a couple of years, Barbara was persuaded to join Spiritmedia in 2006 and have been here ever since.

How do you sum yourself up?
Perfect! Always right, never wrong (ironically).
What do you like to do?
Skiing holidays with family and friends. Going to the cinema when something decent is on – Star Wars, Avengers etc. Eating out at decent restaurants. Watching sport on TV, particularly tennis.
Who do you admire?
Andy Murray – for physical and mental strength to reach the top of his game. A superb athlete, not like a footballer prancing around with 10 other guys for 90 minutes!

Where and how long?
• Graduated in English Literature at University of Glasgow before moving on to an MSc in Marketing.• Volunteered with the Marketing and Communications team at CHAS before taking an internship with smart home technology company Customised.• Joined the Spiritmedia team in August 2014.
Working with?
All types of media but with a particular interest in press, and really enjoy working on campaigns for events. Work experience in communications, hospitality and customer service.

Relaxed but hardworking, friendly when well fed, keen to learn and try new things.
What do you like to do?
Watching and occasionally trying to take part in sport, visiting new places, live music and eating.

Where and how long?
During my time at university I briefly owned and ran a video shop with my sister. I then graduated with a postgraduate certificate in Teaching and was a secondary school maths teacher for 2 years before taking a change in career direction taking a role as an account assistant at a media buying agency. I worked in the industry for 8 years before going to work for a tech start up. Having missed the industry I now have the position of Account Manager within Spiritmedia.• .

I have a number of diverse clients including Glasgow Life, focusing on their Arts and Entertainment, Buccleuch Estates, QD Events, Heriot Watt University, Minoan Travel, Edinburgh International Festival, Portsmouth Grammar School and Foodies Festivals to name a few!

What do you like to do?
Drama, I occasionally like to act, but my main passion is directing. In partnership with my directing partner, we have produced a number of very well received shows with our group The Edinburgh Graduate Theatre Group. Currently we are working on a stage version of All About My Mother.
Who do you admire?
Oprah. Even with the obstacles she has had to overcome in her life, she has built an empire which inspires others. Also she is a #girlboss inspiration!!

Gill started her career in 1984 as a receptionist with Ash Gupta Communications Group after the dishwasher at the restaurant where she was waitressing as a lost graduate told her he had a sister who worked in an Ad Agency who was looking for . . . have I said too much? After a frustrating 6 months answering phones she begged for a job in media and 3 years later (it might have been 4) became Media Director. She spent 11 years with Faulds Advertising joining in 1995 as Head of Media Planning and latterly as Media Director She joined Spiritmedia in 2003 as Associate Director
Working with?
Two strong and unrelated areas. Retail and Education. Lots of experience in retail over the years most notably Kwik Fit, British Midland, Dobbies Garden Centres, Sterling Furniture, Royal Bank of Scotland. Understanding of local marketing, its fit with national marketing, catchment and customer analysis. Experience in education sector with 10+ years working with University of Edinburgh Business School and now the wider University account planning international campaigns to prospective PG students

Joyce joined Spiritmedia in 2002 .

I have been lucky enough to work with a whole host of different clients across the UK including SUBWAY UK & Ireland – the World’s largest fast food chain. Over the years I have most notably gained tremendous experience in the Property and Arts & Entertainment sectors working with Quartermile, Miller Homes, Avant Homes, Scottish Opera, Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Dundee Rep Theatre. More recently I have begun working with Cycling Scotland, Glasgow City Council, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and the SEC (Scottish Event Campus).

• I graduated with a degree in Sociology from the University of Aberdeen in July 2015 and went travelling between January and May 2016 to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji & the U.S. after working in a local bar to save up the necessary money. After coming back, I began a two week period of work experience at Spiritmedia and was lucky enough to be offered the position of Media Assistant which I officially started in November 2016.• • .

Thus far I have been working on the digital set up and reporting of campaigns for a couple of schools in the University of Edinburgh, including the Business School, and History, Classics & Archaeology School. I have also recently begun working on the 2017 Scottish Game Fair across all media, which takes place on the last weekend of June/first weekend of July.

Graham graduated from Aberdeen University in 1984. In 1985 he joined JWT London as a graduate trainee. In 1987 he moved on to Abbott Mead Vickers to work on Volvo, Labatts, Seagram, and won a Media Week award for his work on the RSPCA. During his time at Abbott Mead he moved from Television only to planning and buying across all Media.In 1990 he returned to Scotland as Media Manager and then media Director of The Morgan Partnership. In 1995 he was appointed Director of Operations of the joint venture company Morgan CIA. In August 1997 Graham was appointed Chief Executive of CIA Scotland. In 2002 he was a founding partner of Spiritmedia.

In 1985 Philip changed careers from Agriculture to Media, joining Scottish Television in London as a Sales Executive. After one year, DFS Dorland Advertising Agency decided it would be better to employ Philip than to try and buy from him, taking him on as a Television Time Buyer, a classic case of Poacher turned Gamekeeper.By 1997 Philip was persuaded to move to Scotland as Marketing Manager for Scottish television based in Glasgow.Philip spent 10 years with Scottish Television, latterly S.M.G. performing a variety of Sales and Marketing roles culminating with that of Sales Negotiation Director. In 1997 he was appointed Managing Director of CIA Scotland.In 2002 co founder of Spiritmedia.
